I am connected to wifi but no internet

I noticed that on and off all weekend I was not getting an internet connection on my DroidX. If I switched on my wireless I was fine but the Verizon connection via my data plan did not seem to be working. The computer says I am connected to my wifi network but have no internet access. After running a diagnostic it was recommended that I reboot the router, but that did not help. I tried restoring my computer to an earlier time, before I lost the internet and that did not help either.
