I've had trouble with the receiver's HDMI outputs in the past, so I disconnect both consoles and connect them directly to the TV via HDMI. The Xbox works fine now, but the PS3 still won't output video. I switch to a spare HDMI cable and use a different HDMI input on the TV - same issue.
